  • Next week, the Minnesota Organic Conference will be held on Thursday and Friday at the River's Edge Convention Center, bringing together 400 farmers and industry experts to discuss topics such as soil health + farmers market strategies. Registration is open online through Sunday.  WJON

  • St. Cloud’s only Hardee’s closed on Jan. 2 at 12:05 p.m. CT, as confirmed by a sign. The location — run by Northland Restaurant Group — was not part of the nationwide closures and customers can visit the nearest outlet in Rockville at Love’s Travel Stop.  St. Cloud Times

CULTURE NEWS

  • St. Cloud invites nominations for the ATHENA Award, which honors local women for professional excellence and community impact. Nominations are open until Feb. 28 and the winner will be celebrated at the Dancing With Our Stars event on June 8.  WJON
  • CentraCare's 2025 report names Emma for girls and Oliver for boys across its 10 hospitals in central and southern Minnesota. The ranking also spotlights popular choices like Aisha and Bennett, reflecting current naming trends in the region.  WJON
  • Local voices are calling for a new bar or grill in Crossroads Mall—once home to Little John's Pub before it transformed into Grizzly’s. Mall owners are adding unique businesses like a pet adoption center and gym, a change that might soon pave the way for a nostalgic dining spot.  WJON

  • On New Year's Day, seven babies were born at St. Cloud Hospital with Griffin as the first at 12:57 a.m. Parents expressed joy in welcoming the new year + the Family Birth Centers provided care for all.  St. Cloud Times
