- ➤ On Jan. 2, local high schools saw wins in basketball & hockey, with girls' teams from Sartell and Sauk Centre and boys' teams from Delano and Rockford leading the score. Saturday matchups include ROCORI vs. St. Francis in basketball and Becker-Big Lake vs. Austin in hockey. WJON
- ➤ The SCSU wrestling team won its 700th match — a 48-0 victory over Sioux Falls at Halenbeck Hall on Friday night — and will travel to Cedar Falls on Jan. 9 for the NWCA National Duals Tournament. WJON
