- ➤ On Friday, Jan. 16, local high school teams posted wins in boys basketball including a 70-61 victory by Cathedral and in boys hockey. Saturday's games in both basketball and hockey were held across the area. WJON
- ➤ On Friday, Jan. 16, the Pierz Pioneers won the New London-Spicer Invitational while Andrew Sandau earned his 100th career win — a milestone that highlighted the fierce local competition. The event showcased strong community talent in every match. WJON
- ➤ On Friday, Jan. 16, the MAC hosted the 3rd Annual Doxie Dash where 22 racing dachshunds charmed fans during the Norsemen’s shootout win that ended a 10-game streak for the Watertown Shamrock, and organizers raised $1000 for Ruff Start Rescue (Miko won the Stanley Bowl). WJON
