CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Great River Children's Museum hosted MLK Family Day on Saturday and welcomed a record 1,448 visitors at the new museum space. Kids took part in storytelling and a Dream Wall mural activity during the free event, drawing both regular and first-time guests. WJON
- ➤ The Minnesota State Agricultural Society board kept 2026 State Fair ticket prices unchanged while approving over $67 million for fairground renovations & new attractions, including a renovated Coliseum and enhanced entertainment series to improve the visitor experience. WJON
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Sartell Area Youth Basketball Association held its 29th Winter Classic on Saturday with boys in grades four through eight playing three games across five local sites and winning teams earning championship rings. Community support came from parents, volunteers, and the St. Stephen Schools District. WJON
- ➤ On Saturday, Jan. 17, local high school teams played in boys' hockey and basketball and girls' hockey and basketball, with Dodge County and St. Cloud Apollo winning close games; Monday’s schedule features more basketball contests. WJON
