COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Local youth hockey teams from St. Cloud and Sartell played a charity game to raise over $6,000 for cancer support. The Sartell team raised $2,800 for Mason Schroeder and the St. Cloud team raised $3,607 for the Indy Foundation (which helps cover treatment costs). KNSI
- ➤ Dozens of community leaders signed a statement today that stresses safety, respect (and constitutional rights) to guide inclusive civic dialogue in St. Cloud. WJON
- ➤ Jane Ludwig's memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Big Lake, with Rev. John Schmidt officiating and visitation starting 1.5 hours early. Burial at Gethsemane Catholic Cemetery will take place later. WJON
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Niron Magnetics will open its sustainable magnet plant in Sartell in early 2027 and has donated $12,000 to the local robotics team at Sartell-Stephen High. The company will also award scholarships to students + foster community support. WJON

- ➤ Despite today's chill at -23° outside, Clemens Gardens in St. Cloud is now recognized as one of Minnesota's top summer tourist attractions + locals anticipate enjoying its natural beauty when warmer weather returns. WJON
- ➤ Lindsey Stirling will perform at the Ledge Amphitheater in Waite Park on August 13 with special guest PVRIS as part of her Duality Untamed tour. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Ledge Box Office. WJON
- ➤ Willie Robertson (Duck Dynasty star and New York Times bestselling author) will share life lessons at the Central Minnesota Leadership Luncheon on Friday at Noon at the River of Life Church in Cold Spring. The question-and-answer conversation welcomes everyone. WJON

- ➤ District 742 students showcased a music video on mental health using generative AI now in Emmy consideration along with six spelling bee qualifiers heading to St. Cloud State in February and 29 students honored for arts at the Martin Luther King Jr. event. WJON
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ State tax returns opened yesterday, Jan. 26, as the Minnesota Department of Revenue advised filing electronically with direct deposit for security and speed; free filing is available for incomes below $89,000 and returns are due by April 15. WJON
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Paynesville Bulldogs finished with a 2-1 record and earned second place with 12 medals for 140 points at the Alexandria Big Ole Invitational yesterday. Nolan Roberg took the championship, while teammates earned top placements. WJON
