- ➤ Louise Kieke, a dedicated nurse and community pillar from Sauk Rapids, died Jan. 24 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. A mass of Christian Burial is planned for Friday, Jan. 30 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta with visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. WJON
- ➤ Families can enjoy free sledding, snowshoeing and Nordic ski rentals at Riverside Park’s Winter Chill event on Saturday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. More fun awaits at the Barnelopet Kids Youth Ski Fest on Sunday with races, hot chocolate and cookies (free entry). WJON

- ➤ Pantown Brewery is introducing its limited-edition Peanut Butter Carver Milk Stout on Feb. 1 at its 408 37th Ave. N. location. The new brew blends dark chocolate and peanut butter flavors (honoring Black History Month). St. Cloud Times
- ➤ Wirth Center acquired the historic Daniel Building at 117 7th Avenue North downtown and will start renovations that include modern upgrades + dance studios before summer. The nonprofit will host a public fundraising event on Apr. 11 as part of its Space to Create capital campaign. WJON

- ➤ Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota is highlighting National Mentor Month as it asks volunteers to mentor youth for just two hours a month. The program will match caring adults—especially men—with kids waiting to gain support for better educational and emotional growth. WJON
- ➤ St. Cloud State University will host historian David Frey for a keynote on ethical leadership in public service at the Atwood Memorial Center on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 5:30 p.m. (local police, national guard members and criminal justice students are invited). WJON

- ➤ The Cathedral Crusaders beat St. Cloud 68-31 on Tuesday night with CJ Jerzak scoring 12 points in a strong win, and the team will host Albany on Friday for their next game. WJON
- ➤ The 38th annual St. Cloud Sportsmen’s Show opens next week from Feb. 6 to 8 at the Rivers Edge Convention Center, offering boat bargains, campers, and docks alongside family-friendly events like a water skiing squirrel show and live trout fishing plus seminars by fishing experts Joe Henry and Nick Linder. - ➤ On Tuesday, Jan. 27, local wrestling fans witnessed a thrilling showdown when Holdingford celebrated Masyn Patrick’s 200th win while Canby edged past Paynesville in a tight match. WJON
