- ➤ Collectors will gather at the Moose Lodge in Waite Park for the TCG & Toy Takeover event this Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., where over 40 tables will showcase Pokémon cards, Lego, video games, Funko Pops, and more with door prizes offered at the Poke' Jack Collectibles table. WJON
- ➤ United Way of Central Minnesota and Callan Furniture are accepting twin-size sheet sets and pillows until March 10 to provide new beds with full bedding for 50 local children. Donations can be dropped off at the United Way office at 921 1st Street North in St. Cloud. KNSI

- ➤ Greater St. Cloud will host the Trailblazer Challenge at Pioneer Place on Fifth next month for residents with new business ideas, and applications close Mar. 2. Five finalists will pitch on Mar. 12, with winners earning up to $5,500 and a spot in the MN Cup. KNSI

- ➤ Sartell’s DECA program will send 16 students to compete in business role plays and presentations at a state competition in Minneapolis from March 1-3 — marking a milestone as the program grows from 13 participants last year. WJON
- ➤ Eighth grader Harrison Nguyen from Sauk Rapids-Rice won the Central Minnesota Regional Spelling Bee at Ritsche Auditorium + he will compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. in May. WJON
- ➤ Two local teachers from Apollo High School and Lincoln Elementary are among 30 semifinalists in the Teacher of the Year award contest. A 22-member panel will review submissions in mid-March before naming around 10 finalists, and the winner will be announced on May 3 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre. KNSI
- ➤ Sartell-St. Stephen Schools will gather community feedback on school quality and tech use through a phone survey by Morris Leatherman, and a listening session will be held at 6:00 p.m. today at the High School in Pines 101-102. Superintendent Rivard says the input will guide future changes. WJON
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Flaggers are directing traffic on 22nd Street South from Cooper Avenue South to Oak Grove Road through early March to support tree removal and upcoming road work. Motorists are urged to take an alternate route to avoid delays. KNSI

- ➤ The Whitney Senior Center in St. Cloud launched a free eight-week Health Coaches for Hypertension Control workshop on Feb. 18 to help adults manage blood pressure, improve nutrition, and boost activity (contact 320-650-3082 for details). WJON

- ➤ The Cathedral boys basketball team won 101-42 against Rush City on Tuesday, Feb. 17; Sal Camara led with 17 points and the team (15-7 this season) will host Little Falls today. WJON
- ➤ On Feb. 17, Cathedral (11-2 over Princeton) and Sauk Rapids-Rice (6-5 in overtime over Litchfield-Dassel-Cokato) advanced, while Pine City and Monticello also won; matchups are set for Sauk Rapids-Rice at Cathedral and Pine City at Monticello on Saturday at 1 p.m. WJON
