- ➤ The Dahl family is building Wild Haven, a sportsman’s club near New London, to honor their late sons Will and Harry and give kids a place to enjoy the outdoors. They will host the Wild Haven Throwdown on May 9 at Smilin’ D Arena in Belgrade. WJON
- ➤ Ray Kuklok, an 86-year-old Rice native and former Marine, passed away peacefully on February 17 at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud. His family will hold a celebration of life on Friday, Feb. 27 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph. WJON

- ➤ Great River Children's Museum on 7th Avenue — a hub for urban revitalization — is named a finalist for the ReScape Awards recognizing its impact on downtown renewal. Winners will be announced at a gala on Thursday, Apr. 23. WJON

- ➤ Sal's Bar and Grill hosted a fish fry with fried fish, chicken strips, and sides on Friday night in the St. Joe area and offered takeout orders; a meat raffle was held at St. John's the Baptist Church. WJON

- ➤ Craig Ehrlichman of Premier Real Estate Services says St. Cloud’s real estate market is shifting this spring as rising inventory gives buyers more time to decide. He noted that when a home meets a buyer’s needs, quick action can secure nearly full asking-price deals. WJON

- ➤ Team USA won Olympic gold in a 2-1 overtime win over Canada at the Milano Cortina Games, thanks in part to Minnesota Frost players (including Kendall Coyne Schofield, now with four gold medals). The Frost will return on March 1 in Montreal and play a homecoming game on March 13. WJON
- ➤ St. Cloud State University’s women’s hockey team set a program record at the Milano Cortina Winter Games, with eight players (four current and four alumnae) from five countries competing; current Husky Laura Zimmermann won bronze by beating Sweden in overtime on Thursday. KNSI
- ➤ MAC is set to host a Section 5A hockey semifinal today at 1 p.m. at the Municipal Athletic Complex — recalling the intense 2015 championship game between Apollo and Cathedral — as Cathedral faces Sauk Rapids-Rice. WJON
- ➤ Sartell boys basketball defeated Willmar 73-39 on Thursday while Cathedral beat Little Falls 75-60. Rocori girls won 69-44 over Sauk Rapids-Rice in Cold Spring and the St. Cloud Crush ended their girls hockey season 18-11 after a loss to Mankato East. WJON
