- ➤ The Tri-County Humane Society holds its first local Puppy Bowl fundraiser on March 1 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Red Carpet downtown; tickets cost $25 in advance, $30 at the door, and $15 for children under 10 (including chili and a drink) with proceeds benefiting the animal shelter. KNSI

- ➤ Three shops opened at 619 West St. Germain in downtown St. Cloud as Final Sale Liquidation Center and The Wrapping Room began a month ago offering discounts and gift wrapping while Better Than Mom’s Macarons takes orders with full opening expected by mid-March — all shops operate Wednesday to Sunday. - ➤ Tech High School hosted the 'Together We Dance' competition this past weekend, where over 1,800 dancers from 300+ teams showcased their moves in a free community event. A Solo Showcase on Friday featured 200+ dancers in a friendly gathering. WJON

- ➤ Dr. Morris from CentraCare urges local runners to switch their training away from icy sidewalks by running in parks—offering safer alternatives like snowshoeing and cross-country skiing as they prep for marathon season. WJON
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Local high school sports had few games on Saturday, Feb. 21 with boys' hockey and basketball matchups played, including a 7 to 2 hockey win by St. Cloud Cathedral. Two boys' basketball and two girls' basketball games are scheduled for Monday. WJON
- ➤ Lauren Hansen from Monticello won gold medals in the Class AA All-Around and Uneven Bars at the state gymnastics meet on Saturday — she also placed third in Balance Beam and fourth in Vault. WJON
- ➤ On Friday, Feb. 19, the Huskies and Wildcats played a season-opening doubleheader in Joplin, Missouri; the Wildcats won the opener 8-6 and the Huskies clinched an 8-7 win in the second game. Standout players on both teams delivered strong offensive and pitching efforts in a tightly contested series. WJON

Northland Bible Baptist Church will be hosting their annual Wild Game Dinner on Saturday, March 14th, at noon. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are only $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 3-7.
