- ➤ Early risers in Central Minnesota can see a total lunar eclipse on March 3rd when the Worm Moon (the traditional name for the full March moon) glows orange before setting. The eclipse begins at 3:50 a.m. and peaks at 5:33 a.m., with the moon setting at 7:10 a.m. WJON
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The ROCORI School Board approved a new two-year calendar that begins classes Sept. 1 to give families extra scheduling options for breaks and winter weather days (the board aims to meet both teacher and student day requirements). WJON
- ➤ The Minnesota Legislature is considering a bill that will ban personal cell phone use for K-8 and restrict high school use in classrooms starting with the 2026-2027 school year. The measure offers training funds and a public awareness campaign (with health exceptions) and now awaits Senate Education Committee review. WJON
