- ➤ Paul Stretch Diethelm began playing music in Watertown as a child and later joined the Fabulous Armadillos. The band will celebrate its 20-year anniversary in April at Pioneer Place. WJON
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Heavy snow is forecast to hit St. Cloud tonight, with 5 to 8 inches expected into Sunday morning — a reminder of March’s unpredictable weather as residents prepare for one last blast of winter. WJON
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Data from the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs shows veteran homelessness is nearly ended across the state. Only about 150 veterans remain unhoused, including six in the St. Cloud region, a 25% drop from last year and a 41% decline since two years ago. KNSI
- ➤ City officials declared a snow emergency effective 12:01 a.m. Sunday, March 15 that will last 72 hours unless weather improves. Roads will be cleared to full width and parking regulations enforced (illegal parking will lead to towing immediately after 12:01 a.m.). City of St. Cloud
- ➤ Stearns County is asking residents to share their ideas for upgrades at Quarry Park and Nature Preserve—an online survey is open until March 25 to help plan new mountain bike trails, a visitor center, and improved park access. KNSI
