- ➤ On Friday, the 15th annual Pack the Porches Food and Fund Drive raised 6,437 pounds of food and $21,291 in donations during a six-hour event—Coborn’s matching funds, up to $15,000, boosted the total to support the local Catholic Charities Food Shelf. WJON
- ➤ The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central MN received funding to launch an Esports program with a new gaming lounge at the Eastside Club and Little Falls Club—adding to the Best Buy Teen Tech Center at the Southside Club. - ➤ Local historian Jim Grabinski traced St. Cloud’s bowling alley history by recalling past spots such as Spaniol Hotel Bar and Bowling — once known as Spaniol Hotel Cafe and Fountain that closed in 1968 — along with venues like Dee's Lanes and Granite Bowl built in 1940. He also noted that some alleys, like the eight-lane facility in Atwood Memorial Center, still serve students and the public. WJON

- ➤ On Earth Day, April 22, gardeners and artists will gather at Warner Lake County Park’s Nature Center in Clearwater to learn how buckthorn is turned into charcoal for art supplies—an event that begins with a presentation on its ecological impact. Conservation Minnesota and the St. Cloud Morning Optimist Club will host the demonstration from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.—registration is required. KNSI
- ➤ The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources announced that the second Free Park Day will be held on Saturday, April 26th to let people explore state parks with free entry — visitors must secure passes for activities like overnight camping and special tours. KNSI
