- ➤ The Diocese of St. Cloud will restructure its parishes, cutting the number from 131 to about 48. Bishop Patrick Neary will review each church closure request and issue merger decrees in April and May as part of gradual changes. WJON
- ➤ Reentry Summit 2026: Second Chances, From Confinement to Contribution will be held Wednesday, April 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Mississippi Room at the Great River Regional Library, featuring a panel of seven experts — offering one-on-one time with professionals to guide reintegration. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ St. Cloud students will perform at the second annual Battle of the Bands hosted by the Interact Club on Wednesday, April 1st to benefit Project 37. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. with local band Slip Twister and tickets are $25 for adults + $15 for students. KNSI
- ➤ Pine Grove Zoo in St. Cloud announced on March 27 that donkeys Rosie (28) and Xote (26) passed away from natural causes and that two new young donkeys, Landon and Danny, will join the zoo this week as it begins the 2026 season. WJON
- ➤ Red Carpet Nightclub in downtown will host tribute shows on April 17 with Mad Alice and others, and a Neil Young tribute the following night. Additional comedy events and a weekday Euchre league at the Martini Lounge round out April’s schedule + plans for summer outdoor acts. WJON
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ St. Cloud District 742 has set new safety rules for Tech and Apollo graduation ceremonies on May 30 at Rivers Edge Convention Center, requiring clear bags and strict entry times. Apollo will begin at 11 a.m. and Tech at 3:30 p.m. (latecomers can watch the live stream). WJON
- ➤ St. Cloud Technical and Community College received FAA certification for its new Aircraft Maintenance Technician program that begins this fall. First students will start in a school lab before moving to an airport hangar in fall 2027, and the school will receive a $1.2-million congressional award to support training equipment. WJON

- ➤ Several local restaurants are offering Easter brunch specials this Sunday in the St. Cloud area. Options include Coyote Moon at Territory Golf Club, Granite City Food and Brewery with extended hours, and Krewe Restaurant with New Orleans flair—reservations are recommended for most. WJON
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The SCTCC Cyclones swept a doubleheader against Itasca CC on Sunday, Mar. 29 with key plays from AJ Galvin and Clay Faber - winning 9-5 and 13-2. The wins highlighted strong hitting and pitching as the team built on its season performance. WJON
- ➤ The Cardinals defeated the Johnnies in a competitive two-game series on March 29, winning 3-2 in the opener and 4-1 in the second game. Key plays from Hannemann and Csida helped the team secure the victories. WJON
