- ➤ Local couple Liz Meyer and Travis Harjes opened Backwards Bread Co. in St. Cloud in 2019 and the bakery now makes up to 25 types of bread and popular almond croissants from scratch. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A St. Joseph woman was hurt when the car she was in collided with a semi at 1:30 p.m. on Interstate 94 between Avon and St. Joseph on April 2nd while snow and ice covered the road — her passenger was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the driver from St. Cloud was unharmed. - ➤ The Great River Children's Museum is now selling flexible yearly memberships before its grand opening with a two-person package starting at $150—families can add more members and get access to special programs and private events. Members will reserve visit times online to avoid crowding and learn about discount programs, the grand opening, and job opportunities soon. WJON
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Local high school and middle school robotics teams are competing at River’s Edge Convention Center today for the First Robotics Granite City Regional tournament as they aim to qualify for the world championship in Houston. The event runs from 8:00 a.m. today until Saturday, and first-time participants from Sartell face tough challenges — repeated adjustments to robot parts — as they learn skills to succeed. KNSI

- ➤ St. Cloud Public Utilities Department will conduct its annual wastewater collection system cleaning and maintenance from April through October using high-pressure water equipment — the process helps remove blockages and tree roots. Residents may hear a rumbling sound and notice water in sinks, bathtubs or toilets during the work and should call Public Utilities if any odors persist. City of St. Cloud
- ➤ St. Cloud State University is not renewing the lease on its long-used welcome center at 5th Avenue Live so the building owner can convert the 12,000 square-foot ground level to 16 apartments— the St. Cloud Planning Commission will consider the proposal Tuesday, April 8th. KNSI
- ➤ Today, the City of St. Cloud reminded residents to clear all sidewalks on their property within 24 hours of a snowfall by removing snow and ice down to bare pavement and cleaning curb cuts and crosswalks (for handicap access). City staff will remove snow if needed and bill property owners (with a $250 fine) for non-compliance. KNSI
