- ➤ Wright County prosecutors said that on September 4th distracted driver Jonathan William Edwards struck and killed 85-year-old Barbara Hoppe on Highway 12 in Howard Lake after he claimed he thought she had stopped—video surveillance later showed she was in the crosswalk and his first court appearance is set for May 9th. - ➤ Project 37, a nonprofit focused on music, bought the building at 27 7th Avenue North—formerly the Oblivion Coffee Bar—and reached its fundraising goal in about three months; the group plans to add a stage and operate the space as an all-ages music venue with coffee shop hours, holding a fundraiser on May 7 at the Paramount Theater.
