CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Today marks the 140th anniversary of the tornado outbreak that struck central Minnesota in 1886, killing dozens and leveling homes—with 24 fatalities recorded in St. Cloud as meteorologists noted the unusual multiple vortex formation responsible for its historic devastation. KNSI
- ➤ Country music star Trace Adkins will perform at Ledge Amphitheater on Friday, July 10 as part of his 30th Anniversary Tour. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, April 15 for a venue presale and Thursday, April 16 for the general public. KNSI
- ➤ Three central Minnesota breweries earned medals at the Minnesota Brewers Cup Awards after a competitive judging round. Lupulin Brewing Company led with three medals while Third Street Brewhouse and Spilled Grain Brewhouse received two and one medal respectively. KNSI

- ➤ St. Cloud is hosting a hands-on healthcare career event on Saturday at the U of M campus for rural youth. The event offers interactive workshops for ages 9 through 18 in X-ray labs, junior surgery, casting and splinting labs + a blood science lab. WJON

- ➤ Stearns County’s Household Hazardous Waste truck will visit St. Martin on Wednesday, April 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at St. Martin Church to collect hazardous household products for safe disposal; residents may bring items like paints and pesticides free of charge. KNSI

- ➤ St. Cloud is hosting its annual Law Enforcement Expo at the River's Edge Convention Center as over 425 police chiefs and leaders gather for a 3+ day conference. They will discuss targeted political violence and legislative safety measures including equipment standards. WJON

- ➤ St. Cloud State welcomed former team captain Nick Oliver as head coach for its men's hockey team, returning with local ties and experience from playing and coaching.
