- ➤ Downtown St. Cloud's Red Carpet Nightclub will celebrate its 45th Anniversary on October 10th and 11th with a customer appreciation day on Friday featuring bands Tim Mahoney and the Meanines and G.B. Leighton in the Martini Lounge and an employee reunion on Saturday with Johnny Clueless and FLIPP on the main stage. The event will also offer nostalgic food from House of Pizza and Bravo Burrito along with other surprises. WJON

- ➤ A new pediatric therapy center — the Family Achievement Center — will open in early June in St. Cloud at 2904 Roosevelt Road, Suite 1 to offer coordinated occupational, physical, and speech therapy for children with developmental delays and to host parent events that support families. WJON
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force raided four homes on April 8th in Spring Hill Township, Melrose, and Sauk Centre where investigators found drugs in every property and guns in one, and four people were taken into custody — the raid involved SWAT teams and FBI support to avoid ambushes. - ➤ GREAT Theatre’s production of Mary Poppins opened last weekend at the Paramount Theater and will have eight more performances scheduled for this Thursday through Saturday and next week Friday through Sunday—matinees are nearly sold out. WJON
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ The grant applications for the Main Street Economic Revitalization Program in downtown St. Cloud and Foley are now open as the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation works with the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development to offer a 30 percent matching grant for development projects—St. Cloud plans to fund three to five projects up to $199,000 and Foley one or two projects up to $37,600, with deadlines on May 23 and June 17 respectively. - ➤ Six students from St. Cloud Technical and Community College won a state auto repair competition at the Minnesota SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference and will travel to nationals in Louisville from June 23rd through 27th. The winners + Kaden George, William Kuhn, Zech Anderson, Lucas Kunstleben, LJ Olsen and Cade Barringer + demonstrated skills in auto body collision, automotive service, electrical construction, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration and truck maintenance. - ➤ The Sartell compost site is open for the season — it is accessible daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and requires residents to purchase a permit to drop off yard waste or pick up compost; Sartell users pay $35 while LeSauk Township and St. Cloud residents pay $80 for residential use. KNSI
