- ➤ Central Minnesotans can enter the Dream Getaway contest from today until May 21 — collecting codes aired three times daily on radio and via a mobile app. The winner will be announced on May 22, and the prize includes a fully arranged vacation with Bursch Travel. WJON
- ➤ The Pregnancy Resource Center held its 36th Annual Walk For Life at Sartell Community Center on Saturday, with participants taking a two-mile walk & lantern ceremony to help reach a $130,000 goal for a new center in Little Falls. Officials say essential equipment is ready while a location is being chosen. WJON
- ➤ Jon Noyes from Great River Children's Museum is dancing with professional partner Janell Missler at the Dancing With Our Stars Live event on Monday, June 8 at the College of St. Benedict to raise funds for a new teaching kitchen that strengthens community ties. WJON

- ➤ Gas prices in Minnesota rose to $4.05 this week as national levels hit $4.42, leaving local drivers worried about rising fuel costs. Diesel prices also climbed to $5.61 in some areas — adding uncertainty about future trends. WJON
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Over 300 fourth graders from Riverview Intermediate School planted 12 trees on Friday as part of Sartell’s new Fourth Grade Forest at Pinecone Central Park. The project will continue as students return to study ecosystems and conservation and build community pride. WJON

- ➤ The Minnesota DNR will launch a new digital licensing system with a mobile app for hunters + anglers after this weekend’s fishing opener. The system lets users purchase licenses by agent, online, or through the app and store them offline for field checks. KNSI
- ➤ Drivers near North Junior High face delays today as 12th Street North closes from 25th Ave to 29th Ave for roadwork until mid-June. Additional streets will also be affected, so motorists are urged to follow detour signs + exercise caution. WJON
