- ➤ Tri County Humane Society received 2,000 lbs of cat food after calling for donations to support its free Pet Food Pantry for local families. The organization also hosts Wine, Kibbles and Bids today at Harvester Square from 5 to 9 p.m.—a fundraiser that helps 4,000 animals find homes each year. WJON
- ➤ Mark Sakry, longtime leader of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota and former county commissioner, died Sunday morning at age 73. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, May 11 at Daniel Funeral Home (4:00 to 7:00 p.m.) and a Mass is set for Tuesday, May 12 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud. KNSI
- ➤ St. Cloud firefighters from IAFF Local 464 will be at Runnings in east St. Cloud from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday + Sunday for the first Fill the Boot event of 2026, raising funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association to support research, care, and summer camps. KNSI
- ➤ The 2026 Minnesota Moms Fishing Challenge opens for moms on Saturday, May 9 to Sunday, May 10, letting them fish license-free and enter a photo contest for prizes.
