GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, St. Cloud introduced a program to replace lead or galvanized drinking water service lines, and property owners in affected neighborhoods may be contacted by the City if they are eligible for a funded replacement or need emergency repairs—official work will be scheduled and all workers will carry proper identification. The City advises residents not to share personal or financial information with anyone who contacts them unexpectedly about the work. City of St. Cloud
- ➤ Tracy Hodel, a city veteran for 24 years, will begin her tenure as City Administrator this Monday — tasked with overseeing services, budgets, and personnel — after rising through roles from wastewater treatment to public services. - ➤ Design work is underway on the new Stearns County Jail and Justice Center. Commissioners reviewed a new plan that cuts one court level (saving 27,501 square feet and $11 million), bids will be approved in August, and groundbreaking is planned for next spring with work set to finish by 2029.
