- ➤ Pantown Brewing Company is hosting a polka party this Saturday from noon until 10:00 p.m.—the event features live polka music, lawn games with prize draws every 30 minutes, and beer ticket incentives, and co-owner Marty Czech expects it to be larger than last summer’s Pickle Fest. WJON

- ➤ Firefighters responded at 9:40 p.m. on Saturday night to a car fire at 225 35th Ave N—where a camper, nearby detached garages, and surrounding items burned after a nearby campfire got out of control—and quickly contained the flames with no injuries reported. WJON
- ➤ On Sunday night just before 8:00, a 38-year-old driver named Drew Salo was hurt when his Chevy Corvette left the road and rolled on Highway 10 at Lakeshore Drive in Big Lake—troopers say he was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. WJON

- ➤ A new restaurant called Viet Flavor opened Saturday at Crossroads North Plaza in Waite Park inside Viet Tien Market where customers can try traditional Vietnamese dishes such as fried crispy noodles and baguette sandwiches with homemade mayo. Owner Jackly Nguyen said early feedback is positive and the restaurant is open Wednesdays through Mondays from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.—closed on Tuesdays. WJON

- ➤ The Minnesota State Fair is accepting entries for competitions where contestants can win over $2 million in prizes for pies, art, and crafts.
