ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Late Friday night, 28-year-old Tanner Larsen of St. Cloud hit a deer on Highway 23—he suffered only minor injuries and was taken to St. Cloud Hospital.  WJON

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Nearly 2,500 sheep are grazing at the Sherco Solar Site in Clear Lake to manage vegetation before a 710-megawatt solar installation is completed in 2026 — they also help reduce gas-powered mowing equipment and control invasive species.  WJON

SPORTS NEWS

  • The St. Cloud Rox rallied in the seventh inning Friday night to beat the Badlands Big Sticks in their home opener and keep their record at 5-0—Hunter Day pitched seven innings while key hits from Joshua Dykhoff, Grant Sommers and Austin Haley gave the winning run. The teams will meet again Saturday night at Joe Faber Field.  WJON
