- ➤ Richmond's Cozy Corners Campground will host the annual Glory Days Festival on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Families will enjoy rides, games, a Tractor Pedal Pull (11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) and other activities to raise funds for a new sports complex for Eden Valley-Watkins schools. - ➤ The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota offer free summer meals to children through the federal Summer Food Service Program. Free breakfasts, snacks and suppers begin today at club and KIDSTOP sites and run through Aug. 21 (each site sets its own schedule). KNSI

- ➤ Red Carpet Nightclub in downtown now offers classic arcade games including Ms. Pac-Man and Ghostbusters pinball machines to create a retro vibe—private party game nights are available as Pink Taco debuts on June 13 and Cirque Du Cloud will perform on June 27 to help cover Amanita Wild’s medical bills. - ➤ Great River Regional Library invites local artists to design a library card answering 'Why do you love your library?' Submit entries at GRRL or via mail to 1300 West St. Germain Street or email before the contest ends on June 30 + four winners will be chosen. KNSI

- ➤ Gas prices in Minnesota decreased last week by about 18.5 cents to near $4.12 per gallon, bolstered by optimism over US & Iran talks easing oil supply concerns. Experts warned prices may swing upward if negotiations falter in the coming days. WJON

- ➤ Apollo High School advances its construction projects with fencing up at the Apex Athletic Facility site near Veterans Drive — work will begin soon pending permits. Graduation ceremonies will move to the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center starting in 2027. WJON
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ This summer, local volunteers can join the Minnesota DNR to count adult and juvenile loons at available lakes to help monitor water quality; the program spans over 600 lakes and has gathered data for 20 years. WJON
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Biking season brings three rides (Tour de Luce on June 6 with pizza and drinks, Caramel Roll Ride on June 13 along Lake Wobegon Trail, and Tour of Saints on July 19 with varied routes and treats) inviting cyclists to explore scenic routes and local flavors. WJON
- ➤ On Sunday, May 31, local amateur baseball teams competed in several games with standout wins including Sobieski Skis’ 5-3 victory over the Avon Lakers and decisive wins by the Atwater Chuckers and Spring Hill Chargers during a busy day at the diamond. WJON
- ➤ Today at 2 pm, Becker High begins its state tennis tournament match against Rochester Mayo at Baseline Tennis Center while Sartell-St. Stephen’s Dane Kenning is set to compete against Edina’s Santiago Sanchez in the singles match at 8 am Thursday. WJON
- ➤ On Friday, May 29, local baseball teams played hard, with the Cougars winning 4-1 and the Saints scoring 15-6 while other teams battled in close games; strong pitching and key hits kept fans excited during a busy round-up. WJON
