  • The 10 Spot in Royalton has new owners, James and Dolly Scepurek, and will hold a grand reopening party on August 2 from 5 p.m. until close—Rollie Show will perform from 8 to 11. The historic spot, which has been a community fixture since 1889, remains open with daily specials.  WJON

  • On Thursday night, Justin Moore led his 'Time's Ticking' tour at Ledge Amphitheater in Waite Park with Austin Michael opening at 6:30 p.m. and Joe Nichols performing top hits + Moore entertained fans with heartfelt tributes and classic covers.  WJON

ECONOMY NEWS

  • An establishment survey shows Minnesota added 6,600 jobs in May as sectors such as education, health services, trade & transportation grew while the unemployment rate stayed low at 3.3%. St. Cloud added 341 jobs since May 2024, keeping pace with local markets in the region.  KNSI

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • A prescribed burn is happening today at Quarry Park in Waite Park—officials say it affects only the Scientific and Natural Area on the south end while rock quarries and trails remain open. The last burn on May 5 shut down the whole park for several hours.  KNSI
  • The Mississippi River between Little Falls and St. Cloud offers world-class fishing from the shore where anglers can catch game fish such as smallmouth bass, walleye, and northern pike. DNR Area Fisheries Manager Eric Altena said anglers should focus on eddies and pools—areas where water levels push fish near the bank—and use local parks—a key advantage—for easy access.  KNSI
