ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A motorcycle crash near Eden Valley injured 67-year-old Steven Doll when his bike hit a pickup truck going west on Stearns County Road 49 at about 2:20 p.m. on Saturday—Doll was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  WJON

BUSINESS NEWS

  • The Brower House is a bed and breakfast set in a historic 1924 home near St. Cloud State University—owners Dan and Cheri Gieski maintain its original charm while offering scenic river views and outdoor activities like paddle boating and fishing, and they use the earnings for renovations.  St. Cloud Times

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is asking fairgoers to check that fall detection on their phones is off before riding attractions to avoid false 911 calls — which take up emergency dispatch lines needed for real problems. The Benton County Fair will start next week and Stearns County’s fair runs from August 6th to 10th.  KNSI

  • St. Cloud's only bed-and-breakfast, Brower House, is a 1924 Tudor cottage with three guest rooms that offer Mississippi River views and outdoor activities such as paddle-boating and fishing. Owners Dan and Cheri Gieski renovated the historic property and plan to update the kitchen and add a garage to support future micro-weddings.  St. Cloud Times

  • Townball in the St. Cloud area last week saw the Sartell Muskies win 5-1 over the Cold Spring Springers and the Sauk Rapids Cyclones defeat the Albertville Anglers 11-1 — with notable efforts from John Schumer and Owen Arndt leading their teams.  WJON
