- ➤ A freight train hauling hazardous materials derailed near Watkins on Thursday evening, and first responders confirmed there were no injuries or leaks while crews worked to clear the track and manage a partial closure on the 66000 block of Meeker/Stearns Street. KNSI

- ➤ Last weekend, six St. Cloud Metro Bus drivers competed at Mesabi Range Campus in Virginia during the 38th Annual Statewide Bus Roadeo, a contest that tested their parking and safety skills. David Peacock repeated his first win in the Small Bus Division—while Keith Drake finished second—and Jason Hiivala, Carl Hallberg, Wayne Prescott and Mike Stommes placed high. KNSI
- ➤ Crews on Lincoln Avenue will ramp up road work next week by removing pavement between 4th Street and Division Highway 23 to begin utility upgrades near 7th Street SE. Drivers and local businesses like Runnings and Cashwise should plan for detours as access becomes limited during the project. WJON
