ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Friday afternoon near St. Joseph, a 16-year-old driving an SUV attempted to cross lanes on Highway 23 and collided with a Jeep driven by Tanya Bertelson, sending five teenage passengers along with Bertelson and her 20-year-old passenger to St. Cloud Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries— the teen driver was unharmed.  WJON

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Seven Brew Drive Thru Coffee will open soon near Crossroads Center at 4101 West Division Street in St. Cloud, providing a new quick-stop for coffee lovers. The Arkansas-based chain with over 330 locations in 32 states is now hiring for its third Minnesota store — joining spots in Bemidji and Moorhead.  WJON

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A one-block section of 33rd Avenue South near Taco Bell will be reduced to one northbound lane starting Monday for utility work and is expected to cause minor delays through Thursday. On Tuesday, the eastbound lane on 1st Street South in downtown will be shut down for one day with a detour in place.  WJON

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Friday night, the St. Cloud Rox swept the Minot Hot Tots with an 8-3 win as starter J.D. Dobis pitched seven shutout innings and key hits in the fourth and seventh moved the game forward. The Rox hosted the Waterloo Bucks in a two-game home series on Saturday.  WJON
