- ➤ Strong storms swept across Minnesota Sunday leaving tens of thousands without power — 198 customers in east St. Cloud experienced outages with restoration expected by 12:30 p.m. and another 193 homes and businesses lost power near 33rd Street South and County Road 136. Crews are working regionwide while residents are advised to avoid downed power lines for safety. KNSI
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ RipCon debuted in Waite Park at the Park Event Center on Sunday, drawing trading card fans with 85 vendor tables and hourly raffles — spurred by a viral TikTok video — as organizers from RippinItRaw said they hope the event will grow in future years. WJON
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Minnesota and CentraCare cut the ribbon on the new St. Cloud Regional Campus during a Sunday event followed by a public open house—hundreds attended the celebration with live music and food trucks. The campus will welcome its first class of 24 students next month, all chosen for a focus on rural medicine. KNSI
