ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The St. Cloud Fire Department responded to a car fire at 141 Park Avenue South around 5:00 p.m. Friday — firefighters quickly put out the blaze and no one was hurt. WJON
- ➤ At about 2:30 p.m. Friday, 77-year-old Marian Wieling was forced off Highway 4 near Meire Grove in an accident involving a blue semi-truck and was taken to Melrose Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries—authorities report. WJON
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ On Friday night, the Big Sticks beat the Rox 7+2 after Jackson Cooke gave the Rox an early lead and Connor Massimini helped the Big Sticks pull ahead with four runs in the eighth inning; the Rox will play a two-game series in Willmar on Saturday. WJON
- ➤ On July 31, the Sabin Mets beat the Willmar Rails 10—8 in the Section 8A play-in round; Mason Quick and Parker Janske had key roles in the close game—helping the team advance. WJON
