COMMUNITY NEWS

  • St. Cloud Area Planning Organization invites residents to share their thoughts on planned road construction projects + including replacing the eastbound Highway 15 bridge, adding a J-turn at Highway 23 and County Road 8 in Rockville, and overlaying Highway 23. The public survey stays open until Friday and will help shape the Transportation Improvement Program using federal funds.  WJON

CULTURE NEWS

  • St. Cloud’s yearly Downtown Art Crawl returns Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. It will feature over 100 local artists + live music on closed streets and offer a Make and Take Splatter Art activity for kids at Great River Children's Museum from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.  WJON

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Crews shifted the construction work north on Lincoln Avenue, closing the road to all traffic between Highway 23 and 4th Street today while drivers heading to local businesses should use access from 7th Street Southeast. Officials warn that detours are in effect and urge drivers to take caution—road surfaces may be uneven—while construction continues until late October.  KNSI

SPORTS NEWS

  • The St. Cloud Rox ended their regular season with a 10 to 1 loss to the Mankato Moon Dogs and finished 47 to 22, as pitcher Piercen McElyea struggled on the mound. The team will start a three-game playoff series on Sunday — game 2 will be in St. Cloud on Monday and game 3 in St. Cloud on Tuesday if needed.  WJON
