- ➤ Authorities in Sartell now believe the vehicle found in the Mississippi River on Sunday—near County Road 1—contains the remains of Roy Benn, who vanished in 1967 after leaving King’s Inn Supper Club in his 1963 Buick Electra. A joint investigation by local police and state agencies confirmed Benn’s identity using items found in the car and its VIN. KNSI

- ➤ Keller Bar in downtown St. Cloud will host a roast battle on Saturday night where eight comedians compete in head-to-head rounds with winners moving on to later matches. - ➤ Rep. Tom Emmer and FTA Administrator Marc Molinaro visited New Flyer in St. Cloud on Thursday morning to promote the One Big Beautiful Bill and support American manufacturing. Emmer criticized the Northstar rail—whose final trip will occur early next year—as too costly, and New Flyer’s CEO said the legislation aligns with company goals at its 900-worker facility. - ➤ The St. Cloud Area Planning Organization is asking residents to review its new plan for safer streets, sidewalks, and crossings in St. Cloud and nearby cities. - ➤ State Trooper Jesse Grabow said Minnesota's new lane splitting law is making roads safer as motorcycles filter when traffic stops and drivers use common sense for passing. He said no accidents have been reported and emergency vehicles are given proper space on the road. WJON

- ➤ Salem Community Outpost opened in St. Cloud after a ribbon cutting ceremony held yesterday at 2:00 p.m., where local leaders including Mayor Jake Anderson, Police Chief Jeff Oxton, and Reverend Kirsten Nelson Roenfeldt attended. The renovated facility will soon offer limited health services through St. Cloud Hospital’s Project H.E.A.L. and host a mental health response unit run by local police and health workers—linking residents with care.
