- ➤ The Zoning Board of Appeals will review a Conditional Use Permit on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. for 3123 Roosevelt Road, where Vista Daycare has proposed converting 8,200 square feet of a former gym into a daycare center for up to 200 children, while 6,900 square feet will remain available for retail and other uses—marking a shift in the building’s purpose. - ➤ St. Cloud Financial Credit Union is one of 10 Minnesota lenders honored by the U.S. Small Business Administration on September 25th for underwriting loans that help small companies — an award tied to its strong $60 million loan portfolio. - ➤ The St. Cloud Fire Department is welcoming two new vehicles at a push-in ceremony today at Station 2 (727 Anderson Avenue) at 10:00 a.m. The public is invited to climb into each truck (engine and ladder) to learn how they work. KNSI
- ➤ Minnesota families are advised to keep back-to-school receipts to claim tax benefits for K-12 education, which include the Education Credit and Education Subtraction programs that helped over 158000 families last year. The Minnesota Department of Revenue stated that the benefits cover purchases from basic supplies to computer hardware — proper documentation is required when filing taxes. KNSI
- ➤ St. Cloud Mayor Jake Anderson proposed a 4.49% property tax increase for 2026 to cover a $3.2 million shortfall and boost emergency reserves—residents of a $200,000 home will see nearly a $250 increase per year as the city council prepares to finalize the budget by the end of December. WJON
