- ➤ Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota will host Paint The Town Green week from Sunday through next Saturday—50 local businesses have signed up and individuals can join by wearing green to raise awareness of mentorship. WJON
- ➤ St. Cloud's Crunch Fitness is hosting a 9/11 Remembrance Climb today as local firefighters and community members climb 110 flights of stairs to honor 412 fallen first responders—using the Stairmasters at the gym in the Crossroads Shopping Center. The event runs from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and offers a free one-week membership to participants. WJON
- ➤ Lake George in St. Cloud will host the 2nd Annual Rockin’ Recovery In The Park on Friday—this event features vendor booths kicking off at 4 p.m., a 5K Run/Walk at 6 p.m., and music, food, games along with a new Peer 2 Peer fundraising challenge to support recovery efforts. Community members are invited to join the celebration and show their support. WJON
- ➤ St. Cloud holds a Day of Remembrance ceremony today at 5:00 p.m. at the police department—featuring speeches by Mayor Jake Anderson, Police Chief Jeff Oxton, Fire Chief Matt Love, and local pastors to honor 9/11 victims and first responders over a 45-minute session. WJON

- ➤ A new downtown mural is being painted on the side of the 7th Avenue North building that houses Security and Coin Pawn Shop — artist Tara Aiken began the primer and the mural will be finished before October. KNSI
- ➤ Johnny Clueless returns to St. Cloud for the Red Carpet Nightclub’s 45th anniversary celebration on October 11th after a 20-year absence—this longtime band formed at St. Cloud State in the early 90s and will perform alongside FLIPP. WJON
- ➤ The City of St. Cloud and partnering organizations will hold the annual Conversation on Race: Our Voices, Our Stories event on Tuesday, October 14th at St. Cloud Technical and Community College with doors opening at 5:00 p.m.—the free event will offer food from local cultures and interpreters to help everyone join the dialogue. - ➤ Today Weird Al Yankovic performs at the Ledge Amphitheater as part of a busy slate of local events. - ➤ Former St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis will be honored with the Hubert H. Humphrey Leadership Award on September 18th at the University of Minnesota’s McNamara Alumni Center, where his 20-year service is recognized. St. John's alumnus Denis McDonough will also be recognized for his government service—his roles as White House Chief of Staff and Secretary of Veterans Affairs highlight his commitment to public service. - ➤ The St. Cloud Planning Commission unanimously approved Rise Dispensary’s request to sell recreational cannabis at its 3800 3rd Street North site—this approval lets the business seek a dual license from the Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management on Monday once it meets local ordinance and zoning requirements. - ➤ E-bikes are now common on Minnesota roads as riders age 15 and older enjoy fast travel while attorney Mike Bryant said accidents are raising safety concerns—especially with Class 3 models that can reach 30 MPH.
