- ➤ Residents and dog walkers will join the monthly Dog Walker Watch meeting to learn about Minnesota’s handsfree laws at Wilson Park Dog Park, scheduled from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 23 — led by the St. Cloud Police Department and the National Association of Town Watch — as they work to keep their neighborhood safe. - ➤ Tri-County Humane Society in St. Cloud is featuring Simon—a 6-month-old, 4-pound shorthair with a grumpy yet playful look—available for adoption, and staff advise slow introductions with other pets. WJON
- ➤ This weekend, St. Cloud will host live music with Jefferson Starship on Friday and Bonnie Raitt on Saturday at the Ledge Amphitheater—while Crossroads Carnival offers rides, fair treats, and a corn maze with tickets as low as $1.50. Other events include a Sip N’ Play night at Great River Children’s Museum and Harvest Days in Foley with corn mazes and pumpkin hunts. WJON
- ➤ The Veterans Support Brigade donated $5,000 to the Public Safety Foundation in St. Cloud to boost community safety programs and support first responders. - ➤ The Stearns History Museum will host Sundown Cemetery Tours on October 4th and 18th at Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud and October 11th and 25th at Oak Hill Cemetery in Melrose, with tours starting at 5 pm that offer research-based walks, hot chocolate, and light refreshments; non-members pay $10 while members join for free + contact details are available from Program Director Caitlin Carlson or by calling the museum. - ➤ Canadian Consul General Beth Richardson spoke at the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce meeting on Wednesday to say that Stearns County had nearly $300 million in exports to Canada in manufacturing and agriculture — she added that the upcoming USMCA renewal in 2026 will affect how local businesses, including New Flyer Industries, import parts from Canada. - ➤ The Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation is accepting applications for the 2026 Minnesota Young American Leaders Program, which will be held at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus from May 17-20. Nominations close October 30 and self-nominations open until November 20 for community leaders with at least seven years of full-time work experience—applications aim to connect participants with Harvard Business School. - ➤ The St. Cloud Zoning Board of Appeals approved a variance on Tuesday night that lets Viking Coke expand its building at 4380 8th Street North by using 5600 square feet closer to 44th Avenue North—shortening the setback from 20 feet to 10 feet. The expansion will bring modern automation to their operations and create about a dozen full-time jobs. KNSI

- ➤ The St. Cloud V.A. will offer flu clinics for veterans throughout October at its location as well as in Alexandria, Montevideo, and Brainerd, with walk-in options on October 6, 7, 9, 15, and 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., an evening clinic on October 17 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and a Saturday clinic on October 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. — Additional clinics include a walk-in in Alexandria on October 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., another in Montevideo on October 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and a drive-thru in Brainerd on October 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the vaccine covering three flu strains. - ➤ TriUnity Foundation — a nonprofit founded by St. Cloud Financial Credit Union — is accepting applications for up to four $2,500 grants to support women facing terminal illnesses through a simple, confidential process until the end of September. WJON
