CULTURE NEWS

  • On Saturday, the Stearns History Museum hosted a sold-out gingerbread workshop at Granite City Innovations where families built edible gingerbread houses and learned basic design skills. Whitney Lougheed from JLG Architects led the event — the next workshop is set for December 6 at Harvest Church in Freeport.  WJON

SPORTS NEWS

  • Sauk Rapids native Brevyn Spann-Ford caught his first NFL touchdown for the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday in their 24-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles — marking a major step from his days at Tech High School as he made a 4-yard reception from Dak Prescott that was his only catch of the game.  WJON
  • The Annandale Cardinals captured their first Class 3A state football championship with a 17—7 win over Waseca on Saturday. Colton Purcell led the defense by making three interceptions and threw a 62—yard touchdown pass to Gabe Westman that secured the title.  WJON
  • St. Cloud State women's soccer clinched a 2 to 1 win in overtime against Central Missouri on Sunday in Bemidji—with Grace Olson scoring the game-winning goal. They will face Washburn in the Sweet 16 on November 29 or November 30.  WJON
