- ➤ Today, the annual Candy Cane and Cocoa Party runs from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the new, spacious gym at the Family YMCA. Families enjoy crafts, gingerbread decorating, and Santa’s arrival at 10:00 a.m.; $5 admission supports membership assistance, and the first 300 kids receive an event bag. KNSI
- ➤ Place of Hope is calling on residents to donate gifts and volunteer for the Kids Hope Shop—scheduled for Dec. 16-18—when children will choose gifts for family members and enjoy a meal and quilt. Drop boxes have been set up around the community. KNSI
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Fable Roasters started production Thursday in a new facility at 403 9th Avenue North while Kinder Coffee Lab expanded its kitchen and launched a fundraiser program for local groups. The changes boost both operations to meet growing demand in the region. WJON
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Officer Curt Grosz (with his K9 Echo) will be featured in the 2026 K9 calendar scheduled for October, which raises funds for protective vests through Vested Interest in K9s. Proceeds will support equipping police dogs nationwide. WJON
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The St. Cloud State volleyball team advanced to the Sweet 16 after beating Nebraska-Kearney 3-1 on Friday night & will face Concordia-St. Paul today at 5:00 p.m. in Kearney, Nebraska. WJON
- ➤ Stearns County Parks and Recreation crews have prepped Quarry Park’s Nordic ski trails for public use today. The inside loop is set for classic track while the outside loop will support skate skiing, and trails at Waite Park remain open to hikers, snowshoers, and dog walkers. KNSI
